Data Sync


Description

This article describes how JumpQ users can synchronize their inventory data from Square. Once data is synched and housed within JumpQ, admins can allow items to be shown in the order-ahead and self-scan (Mobile POS) sections of the consumer app. Data sync can also either overwrite what’s currently stored in JumpQ or update depending on your use case.

Prerequisites

In order to synchronize data from Square you must have the following:
  1. A JumpQ Merchant Portal account with ‘Admin’ permissions
  2. A Square account with inventory populated

Steps

  1. Grant JumpQ access to your inventory data in Square:

    Go to the Apps page of the Square Connect Portal (https://connect.squareup.com/apps/)

    Click on ‘New App’
    c
    Enter ‘JumpQ’ for the App Name

    Click ‘Save’
    e
    Copy your personal access token from the next page. This will be needed to update your profile in JumpQ
  2. Tell JumpQ to Sync Data:

    Go to the JumpQ Merchant Portal ‘Settings’ page (http://admin.getjumpq.com/index.html#/basicMerchantSettings)

    Enter your Square personal access token from Step 1v into the text box labeled ‘Square Personal Access Token’

    Go to the JumpQ Merchant Portal ‘Data Sync’ page (http://admin.getjumpq.com/index.html#/dataSync)

    Click on ‘Sync Data from Square’
    e
    Select relevant preferences for data sync
    f
    Click ‘Sync’
    g
    Results of the data sync will be displayed
    Once you have synched your data all the inventory items will be available through the Find Items page in the JumpQ Merchant Portal (http://admin.getjumpq.com/index.html#/findCatalogItem)
